Director of Catering Sales & Events, Dallas, TXExxir Group, a fast-growing, dynamic Dallas-based development company is seeking a full-time Director of Catering Sales & Events to work onsite multiple restaurant and bar concepts within the groups Hospitality division, Exxir Hospitality. The Director of Catering Sales & Events will have complete oversight of the catering and events department including private and group dining, operations and sales, for multiple restaurant concepts in new Bishop Arts development. The ideal candidate is a creative and enthusiastic force, working hand-in-hand with the COO, General Manager and Director of Brand Experience to develop and execute dynamic events that increase revenue throughout Exxir Hospitality and its concepts.Scope of Work and Duties Include, but not limited to:- Develop service techniques, policies and procedures- Review venue and assess all needs in order to reach sales goals.- Responsible for developing and executing a sales strategy and maximizing revenue through creating unique events, programming, and group dining experiences.- Implement 90-day action plan, inclusive of multiple new restaurant openings.- Leads sales initiatives to develop winter & summer (off-peak month) programs to drive sales and revenue.- Maintains a thorough understanding of the propertys P and manages within an approved booking goal.- Create sales blitz/incentives for off-peak season and when appropriate to drive additional revenue.- Attend networking events to further exposure of the Exxir Hospitality brands and therefore business.- Collaborate with parent company to cross sell and generate new streams of outreach and revenue.- Manage customer decision and relationship process.- Oversee and coordinate research on product target markets, customer demographics, and activities of competitors.- Maintain an excellent knowledge of food, wine and spirits while marketing the Exxir brand.- Develop effective presentations (orally and written) where ideas, opinions, recommendations and conclusions are strong understanding and expertise in the sales process.- Responsible for coordinating with restaurant teams on all menus, set-ups and billing.- On-site representation at events as scheduled.Qualifications:- Minimum of 5 years of progressive, strong sales experience with a catering company, full service hotel, restaurant or other related field/equivalent experience.- Intimate knowledge of the North Texas market, and active Dallas social and client base that can be called up on for business.- Experience with event operations including set-ups, capacities and service.- Experience prospecting and soliciting new business.- Creative and innovative thinker who can bring thoughts to actions with speed- Analytical and expedient approach to problem solving, which results in a win/win resolution.- Impeccable follow through with high level of personal integrity.- Strong communication, decision-making, organization and leadership skills.- Ability to perform effectively under high-pressure/volume, self-motivated, high energy and enthusiastic.- Excels in a fast-paced work environment.Competencies:Business Acumen.Communication.Creativity and Design Oriented.Global & Cultural Awareness.Exceptional Customer Service and Follow UpLeadership & Navigation.Relationship Management.
